Episode 3: Colour Me Right Recap
Guest Judges: Andy Thê-Anh, Designer & Anik Gagnon, L’Oréal Paris
The designers are faced with their first team challenge. Working in pairs, the designers will send two outfits down the runway: a sophisticated day look and a dramatic evening look, based on the L’Oreal Paris’ colour story for Spring 2009. The competition ramps up when the designers learn about the high-stakes prize – the winning designs will be featured in a nation-wide promotional campaign for L’Oreal Paris. Iman leads the judging panel to declare the winning designs.
One of the most prominent Montreal designers of his generation, Andy Thê-Anh has been offering a sexy and modern take on affordable ready-to-wear fashion. Andy is considered one of “the group of seven” top Canadian designers by the Fashion Design Council of Canada and has dressed some of the most admired Canadian stars. Andy’s collection is currently sold across Canada, the United States and Europe.
Anik Gagnon joined L’Oréal Paris Canada in 2004 as Brand Communications Manager for L’Oréal Paris. With a strong marketing and public relations background, she has since contributed to development of the brand image through multiple campaigns and significant media partnerships. Anik has also spearheaded L’Oréal Paris’ national support of Canadian designers, focusing on the brand’s title sponsorship of L’Oréal Fashion Week from 2005 to 2008.
